Poptimes-issue1

Click cover to enlarge

SINCE Poptimes Magazine celebrated it's 3rd year last February, it is just fitting to remember the good old days by revisiting the very first issue of the magazine.

Back in 2005, Poptimes had no website like what it has now. It was but a monthly electronic magazine/newsletter delivered to registered subscribers through email. The maiden issue was produced in January and delivered the following month.

On the cover were Bleud, The Third Element, Rubberband, and Patricia Javier.

Also featured were Inu (Now The Kuwagos), Version Four (now Blue Mellon Pop), and Sigh Robes.

avatar haha so funny! Wow, Jonze covered C-Note.. who would have thought??

And Feliza
and Anna with their literary pieces!! It's like looking through a high school
yearbook!
Feliza   |2008-08-07 22:30:20
avatar Wait....what!? That was Anna??? Wooooow, I didn't know who she was then. But
damn, her poem was intense. Awww, man! This was the first (and only!) time I was
officially published in any magazine anywhere! Thanks for the opportunity, Ted.
Wow, this really is like a time capsule.

avatar Hahah ain't it a blast, Gatch, Feliza?
Yeah, Jojo of PI did the guitar part!
Hahhahahe told me about it recently! Sorry hehehee

it feels like ages have
passed!

Feliza,I still remember how I hounded you for that poem!
Feliza   |2008-08-08 12:32:36
avatar Man, I was so scared! Didn't feel too confident yet about my work. But
seriously, thanks Ted for hounding me to submit!

Ohmagah....2005 seems
like ages and ages ago! I remember when I could hardly find more than a handful
of good Fil-Am bands that I liked, let alone whose music I'd listen to. Without
Poptimes Magazine exposure, I'd still be in the dark.

Damn! I didn't realize
you guys covered Angie Pepa even back then! That article means alot more to me
now that I've met her and seen her perform.

like.

Them: "Hey! I'm here to help. What can
I do?"

Me: "Yeah sure, that would be great....I'm
sorry, what's your name again? Have we
